Plans & billing
ChatHQ uses Paystack for payment processing. Billing is tied to your workspace.
How payment works
- Upgrade — When you upgrade your plan, the change takes effect immediately. Your billing period resets from the upgrade date.
- Downgrade — When you downgrade, the change is scheduled for the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan until then.
- Webhooks — Paystack sends webhooks to our backend. Subscription status (active, past due, cancelled) is updated automatically.
Plans
- Free — Starter plan with limited usage.
- Paid plans — Higher limits and additional features. See the pricing page for details.
Upgrade vs downgrade behavior
- Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. Your new plan and billing cycle start right away.
- Downgrade: Takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep your current plan until then.
- Cancel: Access continues until the end of the current billing period, then the subscription ends.
Note:
You can cancel a scheduled downgrade before it takes effect from workspace settings.
Workspace deletion
If you delete a workspace with an active subscription, the subscription is cancelled with Paystack and you will not be charged further.
