Creating a workspace

A workspace is your main container in ChatHQ. You can have multiple workspaces—for example, one per product or client.

How to create a new workspace

1. In the sidebar, click the workspace selector (showing your current workspace name).
2. Click + New Workspace.
3. Follow the setup flow to configure your workspace (name, branding, etc.).

What a workspace contains

• Assistants — All AI assistants you create
• Widget configuration — Embed settings, allowed domains, appearance
• Publishable keys — For programmatic access (see Authentication)
• Members — Team members and their roles
• Settings — Branding, security, billing

Workspace types

• Personal — Single-user workspace created during onboarding. Cannot be deleted.
• Team — Multi-user workspace. You can invite members, assign roles, and delete it if you are the owner.
